I payed a worldwide acount in May with costs of US 180.-. Now I can not even apply it because in that location is no posibility to access with a Mac Version 10.6.8.
Microsoft says that information technology is possible on the oneline Version of Skype: That's a prevarication cause y'all need a plug in that runs only with Mac. 10.9 or higher.
So: I repossess officialy my coin back and will not hesitate to have legal actions (appealing unjust enrichment) and I hope everybody who is damageded will do the same.

Terrible Client service! I have archetype iMac running 10.vii.5 Lion and Microsoft just screwed upward my international communications. I'g continuously directed to download and install 6.15 which doesn't piece of work! I cannot run web Skype as was suggested in a Safari 6 browser which isn't available in x.vii.5. Microsoft seems to ruin everything that they touch but they can change that perception past letting us utilize Skype over again. Gyre back the changes!

I accept viewed this give-and-take with interest equally I wasted several minutes downloading the former version I already had and restarting etc to get skype to work on my onetime faithful iMac (OS 10 10.seven.5)

Its but frustrating and annoying to no longer have Skype working on our erstwhile desktops. I accept an iPad and iPhone so still take call connectivity at least.

FYI... I, like probably many other tinkerers keeping their old Macs running, take max'd out my OS X upgrades and tin non upgrade any higher. So x.9 is not an choice.

I just used Facebook Messenger video telephone call successfully from Australia to NZ and it worked OK. A lot of lag but amend than nothing.

hmm, I wish that was true.
Came home to find out that my promart611 account that was hacked recently (read my other posts) was blocked and I cannot log in anymore from Samsung GT-N5100 tablet running Android version 4.4.four does not allow me to log in even with the Microsoft account and password!. Terminal night it was running fine and I thought that the damage was restricted just to my OS 10.half dozen.8 on my mbp. The tablet version of Skype has automatically updated alll the fourth dimension.
Allen, did you know well-nigh this or take an explanation for it?
Or is this something that you lot guys prepared, unannounced of course, as a 4th of July "gift" for all the users that don't have the latest phones/tablets/devices that run the latest versions of Android equally per the FAQs I saw yesterday?

My son is a loyal Skype user who has been paying since the outset year Skype was introduced. For him and for me, this action is completely unacceptable. Microsoft must know that in that location are millions of Mac users who employ Macs that are 5, 6, viii, and ten years old. (Macs tend to take a much longer lifespan than PCs, and the resale value of a used Mac remains loftier for several years.) Then, kindly either notice a way for us to keep to use the Skype app for Mac (with older Bone versions), or build a "low-cal" version that nosotros can use, that doesn't include anything that requires a later Os version.
